Christmas Mini Meet Party

We had our annual Christmas party and dang if I didn't go off to it without my camera.  Forget my old flip top phone, lol....  No help there.  We had a lovely time catching up and lots of neat mini gifts given by Santa....  I brought a little girl resin doll named Peggy dressed in her nightgown holding a doll.  No pic, sorry....  Trust me, she is adorable...

These are the gifts I received.

The little snowman was handmade and in the gingerbread house from one of our members. She gave one to everyone.
The little snow baby was also handmade by another member, and we each received one. How cool is that.
My Secret Santa gift was the delightful dragon.
Here is where they will live...

Whoops, you can barely see the snow baby behind the decoration box, but she is there...

The dragon looks great on the fireplace mantel in Mr. Charmington's library

And this little girl is buying the snowman at the toy store.
I think it will be a Merry Christmas at the Charmington House.
Merry Christmas to all.  Love and Hugs, LJ

I had to take out the balusters and railing on the stairs.  I knew they didn't look right.  They weren't high enough.  I kept looking at them and thought no way Jose!!!  So I took my doll and placed her on the stairs and the railing was too far down for her to comfortably climb the stairs.  Here is the replace balusters and railing.

I am so glad I noticed this...
Off to make some full size placemats.
Cheers, LJ

House for the library raffle

I went to the mini meeting yesterday to work on the house to raffle off for the library project.  It is coming along very well.  I missed a couple of meetings because of my colitis problem.  Had a relatively good day yesterday so off I went.  I put my fireplace in the house library and looks good there, when the book shelf goes in the green will match some of the book bindings.  The tickets go on sale Nov. 14 and the winner will be picked in Dec.  We still have a ton of work left but it will get done.  I am working on the outside stairs and I think I am going to do it in a grey for cement surrounded by white bricks.  Not sure if I will have a railing or not.  Went downstairs to hubby's workshop to cut the wood for them and the dang saw blade is frozen. GRRRRR...   I will have to wait for hubby to help me with it.  I am not adept with his machinery.   It probably just needs oiling I am hoping.  Anyway will show you the results as I go.
Pix of the house so far:

One of the gals did the stained glass windows and door and widows walk.  She did a fantastic job!!!
Till next time, Hugs, LJ
So pretty so far...  A ton of work left to do.

Fireplace for the Library

Here is the new fireplace for the library...

There are some green spines in some of the books for the library and I tried to match the color.

The book case will be going on the door wall in this room...
The fireplace against the slanted wall.
Before I go onto the stair project I want to somehow configure a fireplace screen...  This may be a child's house so I am going to try to come up with something made with my Silhouette Cameo so it will be child proof.
Wish me luck!!!

Library Auction

HI...  I know it has been awhile since I posted here.  I usually post to my cozy site as I haven't been doing too much with minis as of late.  The library where we meet is having a fund raiser and one of the gals bought this wonderful doll house to fix up for the auction.  It is suppose to be built to look like an old Victorian in our town but we have yet to find it. If we do find it I will post a pic.

This is what has been done so far.
My job will be stairs for the front door and the porch

Also a fireplace for the first floor room on the right which will be the library.

This is a huge house and I hope we can get it done in time for Christmas.
I hope you will enjoy following along with our progress.

Little Caesar Pizza

Hi, Nice weather and Mini meets are starting up again.  I took the pizza boxes  I made on my Silhouette with Little Caesar, Pizza Hut and Dominoes logos on the cover, to the meeting.  Sorry, I only have Little Caesar left.  The rest got scoffed up.  I think they liked them.... We made pizza to go into the boxes.  I love how my pizza came out and then I cut it and couldn't fit it back together very well.  But it looks ok... Next time I wont cut it all the way thru.  I forgot my camera so I didn't get pics, dang....  I have an old time flip phone so I can take pics but cant get it on the puter.

 Anyway, here is mine...

By the way, we ordered real pizza for the meet.
We had to have a model to go by, lol...
Till next time, Mini Hugs, LJ

Chinese Takeout

My Chinese takeout is done.

Chinese food tops my favorite food list (shellfish and Italian next). The whole time I was making this I craved shrimp lo mein, fried shrimp, chicken fingers, goodness gracious, I could even smell it....  Just writing about it makes me hungry...  I am on a diet because I cant bend over to tie my shoes comfortably.  So this will have to do, lol....

Chinese Takeout

Hi, Well it has been awhile.... Too many other irons in the fire.  I wanted to see if I could come up with a use for minis with my silhouette cameo.   I am dubbing around with Chinese takeout.  Here is what I have so far.
I found a takeout box on Silhouette and downsized it to 1/12. Then I found the pics and put them on the box.   The box is easy to put together cause all the folds are perforated.

put together

egg rolls and fortune cookies

Vegetable Lo Mein

I love these little boxes

I have to make new egg rolls and cookies as they came out way too dark. I will try again tomorrow.
